Asset Link Test

The image upload feature of discourse (this forum) isn’t really relevant to what we were trying to test - only copy/pasting an image would have given us useful data. If that didn’t work, it’s likely not supported on your browser/device/OS.

Yeah, I’m not sure. I was just going on what I vaguely recalled seeing when looking at iPhones over other folks’ shoulders.

I did test the image upload on iOS 13.4 (iPhone 8) and 14.1 (8th gen iPad) in the simulator and both allowed me to upload an existing photo - though obviously there wasn’t a physical camera on the device so it might not be a complete test…

It doesn’t look like I’m going to be able to test much further than that…

Without knowing the answer here, i quit Safari on my iPhone, reopened it on the PWA, and got a nice notification of available update, so i took that… Then for good measure, i clicked the command to reload data from server.

Still: i have that problem reported above w/ the div that obscures the mandatory field(s) i need to create a new asset.

Is there anything more that can be done about this?

I just tested again myself and the problem was resolved for me. @walt this may be client-side caching that’s to blame this time. There are multiple layers of caching involved. @Symbioquine’s reply about the update prompt only applies within asset link. But the little button that appears in farmOS itself is separate, and that JavaScript may be getting cached by your browser. Try clearing your browser’s cache for this site’s URL and see if that fixes it for you.
