FarmOS Claude Code Plugin (farmhand)

On the call today, I mentioned that I had created a Claude Code Plugin for FarmOS. I call it farmhand, and it intakes the records when we get new animals from pdf files, adds the full lineage as archived assets, creates the purchase log, and attaches the pdf to the record. It also tells me who a Ram should or shouldn’t mate with based on how closely they’re related. It also helps me manage my trees and bushes. I’m not an expert on those, and it has already saved a couple trees. It’s also helping us to train our dogs. It does a lot, so I’m sure it isn’t for everyone, but I pulled out all my personal info today so I could share it.

I also have a farm_digest module that sends me any pending logs where I’m an owner, and that is still getting a little cleaning up. As I was working on that and saw the farmos.py client, I went ahead and made a patch to fix some things that will make it usable for me. Once the big set of changes go in, I’ll rebase and submit PRs for each major change sequentially.

Thanks for sharing this @barkerd427! Pretty cool to see what’s possible with these new tools.

Amazing! I’ll check it out too! I should post the resources I’ve built up so far too this week (most especially the farmOS agents files, after much learnings), but definitely will check this out @barkerd427 and comment once I get the chance.
