Passionate about sustainable and equitable rural development, I’ve been working and living in various tropical countries, and embarked into an exciting initiative to promote high-quality “zero-deforestation” organic cocoa production in a Maya community of Northern Guatemala.
Our longer-term goal is to progressively develop an agroforestry buffer around a nearby Protected Area while improving the socio-economic conditions of local communities.
We’re a small young company trying (with limited means) and I believe that FarmOS can really help us professionalize our own operations first, and then extend it to other farmers in the area.
I’m really excited by FarmOS and its great community, and though not able to code myself (only vba stuff) I hope I’ll be able to contribute
