Hi,
might be a basic question, but Im not that familiar with hosting. I tried installing farmos with portainer on my server in my home network, using the yml example with some minor modifications regarding the volumes. Get the containers running, but when I try to access the website from my pc, I get an 403 error. The logs of the farmos-www-1 container show the following error:
[Wed Aug 19 21:30:45.685040 2026] [autoindex:error] [pid 19:tid 19] [client 192.168.170.62:33796] AH01276: Cannot serve directory /var/www/html/: No matching DirectoryIndex (index.php,index.html) found, and server-generated directory index forbidden by Options directive

Some time ago I had farmos up and running, maybe someone can help me.
Thanks in advance
Bennet
Hi @Bmoeller - welcome to the forum!
Can you share your Docker configuration? Maybe the volume modifications are causing it.
Does it work if you do not use any volumes? As a simple test…

without the volumes it works fine, thats great. Can you show me how to use the folders I want to use?
path ist /media/fstab/hdd1/docker/volume1/farmos

Ah, my guess is that the first volume is the issue…
Try removing this line:
- /media/fstab/hdd1/docker/volume1/farmos/www:/opt/drupal
The only directories you need to mount are /opt/drupal/web/sites and /opt/drupal/keys.
Unless you are building your own custom codebase with additional modules… in which case see Building farmOS with Com
Thank a lot, that seems to work for now. Im just trying it out, dont know what additional modules I will need.
