I drafted a pull request that adds a new “Equipment type” taxonomy which allows you to categorize Equipment assets. It follows the same pattern as the existing “Animal type”, “Material type”, “Plant type”, and “Product type”.
This has come up in numerous conversations in the past, most recently with @gbathree @OctavioDuarte and Serena at Pasa. It was a relatively easy PR to throw together, so I did.
