Playing around with the crop plan module, and made a timeline view for field assets.
I’ve had an idea of this for a long time.
Tapping the dots bring up the edit column just like the crop plan module.
Maybe a settings page to tell what assets the timeline should occur on in case it’s useful other places..
I think someone was working on a similar thing years ago but cant find it. You were going to be able to drop a single point and see all the logs associated with the point. I wonder if that could be integrated into this. For me I make a lot of adjustments to my paddocks and fields each year so their is no single reference land asset for all logs of a particular location.
That particular PR got stalled a while ago, but I recently picked it back up and was hoping to have something ready for v4.1.0. Might end up waiting for 4.2.0 though… we’ll see!
Trying to better understand what you are doing here… is this in the context of the crop plan module? Or somewhere else?
Is it using the farmOS-timeline.js library? Or something else that you created?
The proof of concept worked! It’s just a matter of doing all the legwork to get it finished up and added into core. If someone wants to experiment more with it in a contrib module in the meantime, please do!
Ok. It’s independent of the Crop plan module, but uses the same farm_timeline module. It’s just a different view of the assets logs. I recently tried the Crop plan for first time, and I got inspired.
You can change years, and also click a month to zoom in.
Have to admit tho.. it’s purly vibe-coded from the crop plan code.
Curious about the other timeline. For “all assets” use, it’s propably more suited. Mine was intended for field assets primarily
