How to list all the current Plant Quantities in my vegetable garden Field?

Hi Mike,

I just upgraded to 3.4.5. I think this bug was only partially fixed. I do see the assets in the location but only sometimes. Let me show you:

This is the Land main page and as you can see there are still no Assets shown:

Then I switch to Logs and the Assets tab appears:

Not urgent of course because the functionality is now usable

Also, I noticed some inconsistency in the Assets title:

Titles

  • Land: Cama 1
  • Logs: Cama 1 Logs
  • Assets: Assets in Cama 1

It’s just a detail, but I would change the Assets title to Cama 1 Assets just to keep everything consistent.

Thank you!

Hmm. Just to be certain: did you run drush updb and drush cr after updating, per the official instructions? I wonder if it’s simple a caching issue you’re experiencing.

Thanks for mentioning this. If I remember correctly this was somewhat intentional. It serves two purposes:

  1. It clarifies that the assets are “assets that are located IN the asset you’re looking at”. Without the “in” it could be ambiguous and not clear how these assets are related.
  2. It highlights the subtle distinction between the way these records are related. The “Logs” tab shows all logs that directly reference the asset. The “Assets” tab is different because assets don’t directly reference the assets that they are in. Instead a log references both, to connect them together.

So I agree that the titles are inconsistent, but in this case I think I prefer it the way it is, rather than changing “Assets in [asset]” to “[asset] Assets”.

We could consider approaching it from the other direction, by changing “[asset] Logs” to “Logs of [asset]”.

If we are going to make any changes, I think we should do it holistically, by first documenting ALL the various titles (including the “Children”, “Locations”, “Members” tabs, and maybe others), and then deciding if/how to modify them. The other consideration with changes like this is it means that translations break and need to be redone, so we try to be careful about that. But we are working on farmOS 4.x, so it’s a good time to make these kinds of changes. If you’d like to help spearhead an effort, your help would be welcome!

Sorry! My bad. Somehow I hadn’t read the update procedure. All is working fine now. Thanks!!

As for the title consistency, I understand your explanation and I’d also keep it as is.

Thank you.
