Using parent or just move the plant?

What is the best for manage the place of a plant which is fixed?.. I started using “parent”.. but it seems I am wrong.

The standard convention is to create a log that “moves” the plant to a location.

See: Movements and location | farmOS

For example, a Seeding log can be used to record that the plant was seeded directly into the ground, or into pots for later transplant. A Transplanting log can be used to record when a potted plant is planted into the ground (or into a larger pot). Or, if you have a tree that you don’t have any history for, you can use an Observation log to say “this tree is here”.

The Planting quick form uses this convention. It might help to install that and create a test planting with it, to see what the records look like afterwards.

Tested - It works for me.
