Hi everyone,

My name is Panagiotis Kyriakopoulos (Panos). I am a researcher at King’s College London. I’m currently working on a project that explores digital adaptation in the UK agritech sector, with a special focus on open-source tools like farmOS.

As part of this study, I’m conducting short interviews with farmers and growers actively using farmOS to understand how digital tools shape their practices, decision-making, and resilience.

If you’re a farmOS user and would be open to a brief (30–45 minute) conversation, I’d be very grateful to hear about your experience. Your insights would help inform research on how open-source technologies contribute to the future of farming.

Dear farmers

I hope this email find you well.

As part of our ongoing research project, we are now conducting interviews with farmers to complement the perspectives we’ve gathered from agri-tech experts and agri-tech firms. Our aim is to understand farmers’ experiences and views on adopting digital technologies, such as precision systems, AI-based tools, virtual fencing, among others.

We are organising short interviews (20–30 minutes) with farmers to better understand their experiences of adopting and using these technologies. If you prefer, you are welcome to share this invitation directly with relevant farmers or if you want let me know to schedule a short online/ telephone interview. Is this possible?
