@jameschama welcome to the forum!
Some pointers…
We would really recommend starting with version 2. Curious if there is any specific reason you need v1?

well i thought version 2 was still in its trail phase, the 2.0.0 beta version i installed didn’t display all the functions like i saw in the webinar videos. if there is a 2.x version that is full functional i can start working on that. kindly send me a link.

secondly it shows that there is a high usage of the v1 compared to v2
Hi @jameschama - I second @paul121’s recommendation to start with farmOS v2.
We are no longer updating v1, and all development moving forward is focused on v2.

Nope! It is the officially recommended version now.

What was missing? It could be that you need to enable some modules. There are also a few features that haven’t been ported from v1 to v2 yet, but those are on the roadmap (most are just waiting for sponsorship/interest/contribution).

Installing farmOS | farmOS documents how to install farmOS v2. You can either use Docker or download a packaged tarball (Docker is recommended because it encapsulates the server requirements).

Don’t rely on those statistics. The v2 stats are broken for some reason (I still have to reach out to the Drupal.org infrastructure team to debug this). So while v1 instances are decreasing, v2 usage is going in the other direction! It’s just not visible in that graph currently.
