Creating logs from asset after upgrade problem

I have just upgraded from v2 alpha to the latest beta and I can no longer create logs from the asset. It allows you to go to records / logs / create new log - works fine. When you try to create the log from an asset it comes up with ‘The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.’

Has anyone had a similar problem ?

@oliverp44 Hmm I’m unable to replicate this. Can you go to /admin/reports/dblog and copy+paste more details about the error? That’s a good place to get more details when you see this message:

The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.

Oh… just read this part… what alpha were you using? Upgrades from alpha to beta are not “officially” supported, but if it was the latest one then you may just need to clear your cache.

I documented changes (and manual upgrade steps) between alpha versions here: farmOS 2.x Releases (and What to Expect)

As a rule of thumb, always run /update.php and clear cache between updates, as described here: Updating farmOS | farmOS

InvalidArgumentException : Field asset is unknown. in Drupal\Core\Entity\ContentEntityBase->getTranslatedField() (line 587 of web root/html/farmOS/web/core/lib/Drupal/Core/Entity/ContentEntityBase.php ).

Ah OK thanks! You need to enable a module, as described in this comment: farmOS 2.x Releases (and What to Expect) - #10 by mstenta

Thank you - all sorted. Initial trials of v2 and farmOS and really impressed so far.
