Can the geolocate button on the maps be activated automatically without pressing the button? Can the edit buttons be activated on the map in the log record?
The farmOS-map JavaScript library (which is where that Geolocate button is defined and added to the map) does not have an option currently for turning it on automatically. Perhaps that would be a worthwhile option to add.
But I would not enable this by default in farmOS generally. Perhaps in certain contexts it would make sense… like a specialized Field Kit module that activates it automatically while you are walking around in the field. But in farmOS generally I don’t think it should turn on automatically - it should be an intentional user decision to share their location.
What contexts would you like to have it enabled automatically? Can you describe the use-case(s) you have in mind?
